Dali Tiaohua Wellness Massage Hammer

Description
Material
Product Journal
The fabric is 100% cotton, hand-woven with Tiaohua (traditional patterned brocade) technique and dyed using plant-based pigments. It is hand-tied with plant-dyed cotton ropes, ensuring sturdiness and durability. The blue fabric yarn is naturally dyed with Strobilanthes cusia (a plant used for natural indigo dyeing), while the gray cotton ropes are achieved through over-dyeing with leaves of Triadica sebifera (Chinese tallow tree) and chestnut husks. Inside, it contains three-year-aged moxa from Funiushan Mountain in Nanyang—made of 100% natural materials with no chemical additives, which can warm the meridians and dispel cold (a traditional Chinese wellness benefit). This product is a wonderful wellness item that combines aesthetic appeal with functionality, suitable for home use or as a gift for festivals.
Outer: 100% Cotton
Filling: Moxa
Care instructions: Please use a mild detergent for gentle hand washing, or take it to a professional care shop for cleaning and maintenance. Be sure to prevent mold and insect damage.

"Tiao Hua" was once a common weaving technique in Dali, often seen in the old fabrics of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups in Guizhou. During the Tiao Hua process, a needle of similar thickness to a knitting needle is used to hook the weft threads, counting numbers—"one thread, three threads, one by one"—precisely picking through the vertical warp threads, eventually forming embroidery-like patterns. Therefore, Tiao Hua is also known as "counting threads," and the elder women would say, "we're stitching the fabric."
