Menglian Dai, Lahu and Wa Autonomous County, with its name sounding like “a good place found” in Dai language, is located in Pu’er City, Yunnan Province.
Its abundant sunlight and subtropical climate make Menglian an excellent region for producing high-quality coffee beans and avocados. The multi-ethnic groups living in Menglian also make its weaving traditions particularly rich.
Started in a Wa village on the mountaintop, our collaboration weaving with female coffee farmers during the farming off-season is currently in the development stage.
